I first met Betty and Jim in the Fall of 1973. I was dating Betty's cousin. I immediately fell under their spell . Jim impressed me as a force to be reckoned with (aren't all coaches). But once he spoke with that soft southern drawl you were immediately at ease. What a family and extended family. I always felt welcome even after divorce from Betty's cousin. Betty and Jim were both so good to my sons. Theo greatest testimony their lives are their daughters. Rest in peace coach, cousin and friend.
