I was a beneficiary of the legendary Monks hospitality at multiple points in my life—as a child when they summered in Quogue, and later in Powaque (sp?) during my (involuntary) army career, first when I was stationed in El Paso and then when I returned from Vietnam. Florence was a fixed point—gracious, welcoming, and supportive. Her steady presence meant a lot to me then and I will always be grateful. Thank you Florence, and Godspeed.

A loyal and amazingly hospitable person, with whom I shared yearly correspondence at Christmas time from the late '60`s until 2015 - almost 50 years ! Thank you for your friendship and having the opportunity of meeting your wonderful family. Your daughter, Barbara, was my first girl-friend, and thank you for your hospitality when I came to stay in Santa Fe in 1973, on an extended holiday from England .. Bill Kerr , Sussex, England
