I am sadden by the passing of your husband. Sam, I know that you have lost your true friend, dear companion, loyal partner and loving husband. There are many in this community that thought highly of Bill and I believe the memory of Bill and his many contributions will always bring a smile to Santa Feans.

Dear Sam and family, I echo what Bill and Barbara wrote - he was such a Santa Fe icon. It is especially poignant because Barbara and I walked into La Choza behind you that very Monday for lunch. And to know that he died that day. Holding you in our thoughts. Claire and Steve Weiner

Dear Sam and family: How very saddened we were to learn of Bill's passing. Though his education and work took him to other places, it was to his home in Santa Fe that he always returned. He was a giant among men and will be remembered by all of us who knew him as a man of integrity, imagination, and great heart.
