Valentina Montano

Valentina “Tina” Montano, age 94 of Goodyear, Arizona (previously of Santa Fe, NM) passed away on June 4, 2022. She was born on February 14, 1928, in Bernal, New Mexico to Reymundo Padilla and Angelica (Castellano) Padilla. Tina was a Homemaker and Nanny for many years. She adored children and taking care of others, raising several generations. Tina dedicated her life to her faith and family and had a great love for music and dancing.

Tina is preceded in death by her husband Robert Montano. Tina is survived by her daughter Yolanda Martin, son in law Danny Martin, granddaughter Leslie Montano, grandson Daniel Martin, and great-grandchildren Isaiah Vasquez, Jaiden Vasquez, and Isabelle Martin, brother Nat Padilla, sisters Gavina Valencia, Mary Tapia, Angie Martinez, and Odelia Tapia, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 24, 2022 at Berardinelli Funeral Home at 9:00 am with a Mass to follow at St. John the Baptist at 11:00am. A Burial will take place on Saturday June 25, 2022 at 10:00am at the San Jose Cemetery in San Jose NM. Pallbearers will be Jaiden Vasquez, Isaiah Vasquez, Daniel Martin, Rosendo Tapia, Gilbert Allen, and Bobby Perez, honorary pallbearer Danny Martin.
