I moved away from Santa Fe NM in 2004 I never knew she was sick or passed away I was looking up people in my life that made me who I am today and she will always be in my heart she was my Angel growing up and she changed my life for the better and she helped make me who I am today if it wasn’t for her I would have been lost much love

I am so sorry for your loss. May the words of our loving heavenly Father bring your family comfort and strength during this most difficult time as He promises to bring our loved ones back to life in a perfect world where there will be no more suffering or death (John 5:28-29 & Revelation 21:4).

Teresa was a teacher during my tenure as principal at De Vargas. She was loving, caring, and dedicated to her students and to the school. Often, she was the first teacher I would see in the morning, and she made my days start with a smile. The students of Santa Fe were lucky to have her. She will be missed. My prayers and condolences to her family.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mary Teresa’s passing. She was Mary Teresa to her classmates at St. Francis Elementary. We were classmates for many years and then she went on to Loretto/St. Mikes. We attended NMHU the same years and I remember her as being the same bubbly person she was at St. Francis. May she Rest In Peace. My condolences to the family.

Teresa is an ongoing inspiration to me. She was my friend and colleague at DeVaragas Middle School for several years. She taught me so much about what it means to be a good teacher, and a generous and brave person. I think of her often, and I wish her family my condolences and that her life and memory will continue to be a blessing to us all. She inspired so many teachers and students in just the short time that I knew her- what an effect she had on this world! May we carry her good work forward.

Teresa was a wonderful mentor to me when I was a new teacher at Agua Fria. From her example, I learned so much about being a thoughtful, caring teacher. I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. She was a uniquely beautiful human being - bright, loving, and genuinely passionate about her work. What a smile she had! She spoke so highly of her family, especially her children. I am sending all of you my love.

My condolences to the family. I worked with her at DeVargas for several years and she was a part of our team. She was awesome and I was really bummed when she retired. She was so great with our kids and as a team player. As the team's leader, I felt that she was my right hand "woman." She was always eager to help in all aspects. She was so committed to her students and staying on top of them to ensure their success. I was blessed by having her on my team. She will be sorely missed. Heaven has now gained another angel. Heaven is now enriched by her presence.

I want to extend my heartfelt sympathies to Teresa's family at this sad time of loss. I only met Teresa a few times through our mutual friend, Susie--one of Teresa's dear "breakfast" friends. This sweet lady made a lasting impression on me, as someone who was fun, smart, and always positive. For me, Teresa was a strong and calming spirit. I feel honored to have known her, and wish the family peace and comfort from those many, many wonderful memories.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Teresa's family. I worked with Teresa for many years at De Vargas Middle School. She had so much compassion for working with students with learning disabilities. She was a dedicated teacher who made each and every one of her students feel special. She always talked about her two children, and often gave me advice in raising my own. She will be missed! -- Jennifer Trujillo

My sincere condolences to Teresa's Family. I met her when we worked at De Vargas Middle School in 2012. Although it was for a few years, she inspired me positively as a colleague, and as a friend. Just like she did with our students every day filling up our lives with her gorgeous smile and incredible positive attitude. Teresa's departure is a great loss to the teaching community. I remember her hugging the students and greeting enthusiastically everybody in the mornings when we shared classrooms right across from each other. As a teacher she was someone whom I always looked up to and will follow her philosophy as an example for the rest of my career. May God receive you with opened arms and a beautiful smile as you did for 40 years to your students when they entered your classroom. Rest in peace my friend. Gracias por todo.

Joey, Kelly and Family, Rich and I share your sadness in losing Teresa. We taught at Agua Fria for many years. Knowing her was a blessing. Listening to her speak about her family and her students, with a twinkle in her eyes and a smile on her face, was a joy. I loved her sense of humor and her ability to stay serious when she was trying not to laugh at a situation. She was beautiful in every way. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. RIP, Parsons. I love you. Tell Kathy hi. Carol Jo

Oh beautiful, loving, kind, gracious, and joy maker Teresa. What a lovely and happy lady. Your smile and laughter I so remember and will cherish always. I remember your energy and encompassing spirit you shared with all who came to know you. You were always the cheerleader for us all and now you will cheerlead us from heaven. The times spent at Highlands always included our group at Melody Hall. Your beautiful hair, vivacious personality, encouraging spirit, and love of teaching will be remembered and cherished. You always spoke lovingly about your parents and siblings and now you join your parents in heaven. God blessed us with you, lovely lady. May you rest in peace and forever remain in our hearts. Siempre, Roberta

To Teresa's Children and my Special and Loving Cousins

Hans Christian Anderson said "A human life is a story told by God". Teresa’s is a masterpiece. I like to believe that when we lose someone close to us they still live through us and give us strength. May God's comfort help you during this time of loss and may the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Your smile and sense of humor will be missed.

I have so many wonderful memories of us growing up through the years. It was so much fun playing at your parents house when we were kids. The backyard pond and fish, the music playing, and the love that radiated throughout the house made everyone feel so welcome. We treasured our trips from Albuquerque to Santa Fe on the weekends and our time spent with THE FAMILY. We are family.
