Rose Marie Gallegos

ROSE MARIE GALLEGOS Age 87, was born on January 2, 1932 in Youngsville, NM. Rose went peacefully to join Our Lord on July 16, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She is now dancing in heaven with her loving husband of 60 years Santiago Gallegos. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Santiago Gallegos; parents Preciliano and Epimenia Salazar; brother: Preciliano Salazar; sister Vitalia Maestas; daughter Doris Lovato; son in-law Bob Savinsky. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters: Angie Savinsky, Lucille Gallegos, Gloria Portillo and husband David. Granddaughters: Deborah Roybal, Sarah Vigil, Jennifer Lovato and Gavino, Juliette Lovato, Roberta Lovato and Theo. Great grandchildren: HeavenAshley, Thomas Jr., Jayde, Faith, Isaiah, Bonita, and Hope. Brothers and sisters: Lourdes, Cres and Pauline, Joe and Jenny, Sally, Olivia and Mike, Sara, Dennis and Bernadette. Rose was known as “Nina” to many, she held her Godchildren close to her heart and always provided true religious guidance. She was a very devout catholic, her humility and faith in God never wavered. She had a prayer for everyone and every occasion. She had a very special friend and neighbor, Tomasita Gallegos that brought her communion and prayed with her later in life, she looked forward to this every week. Rose lived a great long life and blessed her family and friends with memories that will be cherished in our hearts and minds for a lifetime. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 24, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Vigil Jr., Isaiah Segura, David Portillo, Gavino Segura, Tommy Vigil and Lee Mendiola.
