Richard “Dickie” Pacheco passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Richard is preceded in death by his mother and father, Rafelita and Andres, his wife, Tonie J Pacheco; his brothers, Manuel (Refugio), Paul (Isabel), Andy (Lourdes), Fred (Vera), Mike (Evelyn), Ralph (Laurie), Jimmy (Sylvia) and sisters, Josie (August) Nava and Rose Romero. He is survived by his son, Mark Pacheco (Dolores), daughters, Linda Pacheco, Valerie Pacheco-Schalow (Jerry), Denise Pacheco, and grandchildren, Robert, Roberta (Robert), Richard, Sarah (Jose), Alexandria, Jordan, and Isabella. Great grandchildren: Sativa, Trinity, Analicia and Arabelle. Dickie was a loving and caring man that put his family first, loved helping those around him, made everyone laugh and was always concerned for his loved ones. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and volunteering to play at St. Anne’s mass each Sunday morning. Dickie was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, growing up on Pacheco Street, which is his family’s namesake, a Veteran of the Korean War, and worked at Railway Express, and managed Owl’s Liquors.
We, the family, would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support as we send our beloved father & Papa home to join his wife of 53 years, Tonie, in heaven.
Visitation will be held at Berardinelli Funeral home with the Rosary to follow on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 starting at 6:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church on Wednesday October 20, 2021 at 10:00 am with a reception to follow at Berardinelli’s McGee Hall, 1320 Louisa Street, and followed by burial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
