Richard Blackwell Johns

Richard was born in Springfield Ohio to Richard and Marjorie Johns.  Richard is survived by his son, Phillip, brother Jimmy and sister Beth.  Richard lived (seasonally) in Santa Fe for the last 15 years of his life.  Richard loved, classic English cars, collecting art, reading cultural history, and enjoying food and wine.  Richard travelled widely. More recently he travelled annually to Mexico and Central America to enjoy the sun, history and cultural sites.  Prior to moving to Santa Fe, he lived in Oklahoma City where he had his own information management consulting business.  He graduated from University of Oklahoma with PhD in Social Sciences and Health Behavior.

Dick was a humble, private person who extremely easy-going.  His positive and accommodating style made him well liked and his wide ranging knowledge of culture and history made him well appreciated wherever he went.
