Raul Martinez

Raul S. Martinez, 74, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on August 26, 2021 at his home in Rio Rancho.  He was born in Santa Fe on April 23, 1947 to Antonia Martinez and Daniel Martinez.   Raul served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. After leaving the military he worked for the Psychiatric Unit at St. Vincent Hospital.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonia and Daniel Martinez. He is survived by Jimmy R. Martinez (Yoko), Annette Martinez, Bernadette Martinez, Linda Rodriguez (Ron), and Rosie Sweeney (Ray), as well as ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

A recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place on Monday October 4, 2021 at 9:30 am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 1120 Canyon Rd, Santa Fe, New Mexico followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Burial with military honors will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Otero, Paul Otero, Joe Ray Sweeney III, David Rodriguez, Santiago Dominguez, Jesus Gonzales and honorary pallbearer Jimmy R. Martinez.
