Preceded in death by his wife, Helen P. Shore, on March 01, 1999

Military Career:
Parkhurst served in the Unites States Army Air Core from 3/27/1943 to 11/13/1945, whereby he earned the Honored Veteran Medal for serving in World War II in the Battle of the Bulge in which he served as a sharpshooter and took out a German sniper who was picking off American Soldiers as they came ashore, then as a gunman in American airplanes in which he shot down several German aircraft in battle.

1963 - 1981 Professor, Department of Pharmacology, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas

Military Honors Service will be held at the National Cemetery on April 5, 2018 at 3:00 pm.
