Maria Socorro Pacheco

Socorro Casados Pacheco died on February 6, 2021. She was 93. She is loved by all who knew her; she was a cornerstone of the Pacheco family. She lived her entire life in Santa Fe and married the love of her life, Martin Pacheco Jr. They were married for 57 years when in 2011 he preceded her death. Survivors include her son Martin Pacheco III; grandchildren: Dr. Lisa Zorita, Martin Niko Pacheco IV, Alicia Pacheco, and Sydney Pacheco; her sisters Marie and Martha, deceased brothers Willie and Tony; Rosina and Boise who were like a sister and brother, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great-granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lillian Pacheco. Socorro was a member of St. Francis Cathedral for 44 years where she was part of the Altar Society. She worked at State Police and remains our family’s best cook!  The Pacheco family expresses deepest thanks to family and friends for their care and condolences. The mass and visitation will be held at St. Francis Cathedral on Wednesday, February 10th at 10 a.m. with a later burial at Santa Fe National.  Family and friends can attend the mass virtually at https://youtu.be/CjhVs29L0S4 or in person at St. Francis with a COVID restriction of 75 people.
