Maria Ninfa Martinez

Ninfa Martinez Age 85, went to be with our Lord on March 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben G Martinez. Ninfa is survived by her children Melinda (Art), Patrick (Suzette), Marty (Yvette), John (Angela); grandchildren Amanda (Bill), Megan (Gareth), Logan, Alexandra; great-grandchildren Jeremy and Grayson; sisters Olivia, Rosie, and Connie (Felix) and her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ninfa would want to send a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers she had in her later years: Amy Sena-Esquibel, who she painted the town red with for 2 fun years, Linda Medina, Diana Esquibel and Alexandra Esquibel-Martinez. Ninfa grew up on a family ranch in Wagon Mound, New Mexico. After graduating high school, she went on to earn a Degree in Business from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. After college she moved to Santa Fe where she lived for the rest of her life. Ninfa retired as a Manager from the State of New Mexico after 30 years of service. She was a true Patriot who always enjoyed politics from local to federal races. Ninfa loved adventures with family and friends and had the opportunity to do much traveling in her lifetime with two trips to Europe and visits to many cities and states throughout the US.  Her true passion was in New Mexico as she loved Fiestas de Santa Fe, Mariachi music, and NM traditions. With an infectious smile and personality, she was well known to her friends and family as always up for a good, clean-fun time. At the core of her was always her family and her faith in God.

Rosary will be on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Berardinelli Family Funeral at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, April 8, 2021 at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery Santa Fe. Pallbearers: Logan Monroe, Art Llacuna, Bill Farmer, Marcos Esquibel, Brett Villareal and Jim Maes
