The Mikkelsen family of Santa Fe, New Mexico is deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected loss of Judith Mikkelsen on February 2nd, 2018. She was a prominent psychologist in Santa Fe. Judith was kind, nurturing, patient and unwavering in her love for her sons John and Mark. Her legacy continues with her granddaughter, Tyler Mikkelsen, who attends Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lance Mikkelsen, who is a retired physician and daughters in law, Sarah Mikkelsen (Mark), and Brandi Aragon (John).
Judith was born on September 10, 1943 and was raised in Villisca, Iowa. Her parents were Harold and Glenna Mae Robinson, both deceased. She began her private practice in 1991. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and received her PhD in Psychology from Antioch College, Ohio in 2001. Other survivors include her brother and sister in law, James and Donna Robinson of Villisca, Iowa and sister, Joan and her husband, Drew Schrader of Maggie Valley, North Carolina and cherished nieces and nephews.
Judith was a wonderful friend to all who were privileged to know her.
A celebration of Judith’s life will be held at 10 am on Monday, February 12th, 2018 at the Berardinelli McGee Life Event Center, 1320 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Judith Mikkelsen to Casa Familia, 1604 Berry Avenue, Santa Fe, NM 87505.
