John (Jack) Cochran of Santa Fe, New Mexico (formerly of Akron and Yellow Springs, Ohio) died on October 1st from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was a professor emeritus from the University of Akron having taught in the Department of Counseling. He loved learning, teaching and sharing his vast knowledge. Many students became life-long friends and colleagues. After retiring from the University he owned a private practice in Akron specializing in career counseling. He belonged to numerous photography groups, participated in photo shows and won awards in Ohio and Santa Fe. Club members and other audiences were delighted to see his wonderful photos and he was just as delighted to share his images and knowledge, especially Photoshop, with others.
