Ida Elena Vigil

Ida Elena Vigil, born on November 11, 1926 in Rainsville NM.  Graduated from New Mexico Highlands University and received her endorsement in Bilingual and early Childhood Education.  She was an Educator and retired after 40 years in the Mora County School District.

She had a passion for travel.  Her travels took her to Spain, where she enrolled in classes at the University of Madrid.  Other exciting travels were Mexico City, California and Texas.

She was very active with the Senior Center in Mora and Santa Fe.  She was honored with a plaque with her name, placed on the building at the Senior Center in Mora.

She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Albin Vigil, sisters Cleo Velasquez (Eppie, deseased) and Joann Velasquez (Damian) and many nieces and nephews.

Ida is now in God’s hands.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be held at the San Isidro Catholic Church -Old Sanctuary: 3552 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM 87507 on June 4, 2019

Services are as follows:

*Reading of the Eulogy at 8:45am

 *Rosary at 9:00am

*Mass of Christan Burial at 9:30am

*Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15M
