Ida Sanchez Pacheco

Our mother Ida Sanchez Pacheco passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, at the age of 88.  She is preceded in death by her husband E. Robert Pacheco, daughter Pam Pacheco-Starkey, daughter-in-law Antoinette Rivera-Pacheco, parents Guadalupe and Emma K. Sanchez, siblings: David King (Marcia), Cecilia Pacheco (Louie), Chris Sanchez, Charlotte Sanchez, and Mary Gallegos (Benny); and in-laws Florence Sanchez, Rudy Pacheco, Celine Sanchez, and Pauline Anaya.

Ida is survived by her children:  Robert, Kathy Pacheco-Dofflemeyer (Tony), Stephen (Johanna), Leroy, David (Sophie, Augustine, Anthony, Amari, Kalani and Allison), William (Vanessa), Elizabeth Knowlton (Rob); her beloved grandchildren:  John and Kristine Dofflemeyer, Austin, Dillon, and Amanda Pacheco, Molly and Bobby Knowlton; her siblings: Lupe Sanchez, Della C de Baca, Irene Sanchez, Angie Ozuna (Ted), Jackie Sanchez, Roberta Apodaca (Mickey); sisters-in-law: Angelica Pacheco, Margie Sanchez; and many dear cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mom was a devout Catholic, a professed member of the Secular Third Order of St. Francis (OFS), a member of the Coro de la Sagrada Familia, and the Northern New Mexico Quilters Guild.  Mom worked as an appraiser for the state for 30 years.  Mom’s greatest treasures were her faith and family.

The funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at St. Francis Cathedral with visitation starting at 9:30 AM, recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. The Catholic Rite of Committal will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:15 PM.
