Frances M. Kasik

This beautiful Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Friend, and Great Grandmother became an Angel on July 7, 2018 at her home in Las Vegas, NV.   She was born on May 4, 1929 in Raton, NM, as the fourth child of ten from John and Mary Evenich. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Kasik, a WWII Veteran; her brothers, Tony, Steve, Albert and William Evenich and her Sister Matilda Massingale. She has four siblings who are still living, Dorothy Nelson, and Brothers John, Charles, and Danny Evenich.

Frances was born in Raton, NM and raised in Louisville CO where she met her husband of 44 years Robert. Following Roberts return from serving in the Army Air Corps in WW II they moved to Los Alamos New Mexico and started a family of their own. Frances worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory for 15 years in the graphics and publication reproduction group. She made many close friends during this time and excelled at her work. Frances moved to Albuquerque, NM following the loss of Robert to cancer, where she stayed for 15 years before moving to Las Vegas, NV where she spent the last 5 years with her Son Randy and Jane Ann.

Our Family invites you to a Celebration of her Life beginning with a viewing at 10am on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Bernardanelli Family Funeral Home at 1399 Luisa Street. Santa Fe; services at 11:00 and burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45pm. Following the services a catered gathering will be held at the Santa Fe American Legion, 1601 Berry Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87505.

Frances is survived by her children, daughter,  Lindamarie Kasik Rose and husband, Fred E. Rose; Son, Robert Kasik and wife Diane Kasik; and Son, Randy Kasik and wife Jane Ann Pete-Kasik. She loved being a Grandmother to Aryia Kasik McGrory, Nicholas and Melody Rexroth; Jonathan and Jeremy Kasik; Paige Elsea; Carly and Sam Walker, and Great Grandchildren Ashyre and Bryce Rexroth, who lit up her life as she did theirs.

She also is survived by her Sister-in-Law, Nancy Nelson Kasik, Brother-in-law, Richard Kasik and wife Barbara Kasik and treasured friend Anita Drake.

To those of you who knew Frances, you knew the heart of a generous, loving, caring, and incredibly strong Lady. She is missed.  Thank you God for reuniting her with her husband, Robert, may they dance in Heaven forever.
