Frances CdeBaca

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved mother Frances CdeBaca. 

Frances CdeBaca was called to the lord on May 7, 2022 in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the age of 85. She was born to Odilon and Refugio Sanchez in Alamogordo, New Mexico on January 29, 1937. Frances had a lengthy and very successful career in the banking business.  She retired as Vice President of Trust at First National Bank in Santa Fe.  She was named “Woman of the Year” by the Business and Professional Women’s Association, she was President of Board of Directors at El Castillo.  She was also was a board member of St. Vincent Hospital for several years.  Mom loved spending time with her family and traveling all over the world, and enjoyed playing golf. She belonged to the 15 karat club which included her dear friends, Angie, Maida, Diane, Barbara, Janie, Kaye, and Frances. Mom was a member of The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis Assisi.

Frances is proceeded in death by her parents Odilon and Refugio Sanchez, sister Inez Lindenmeyer, daughter in law Norma CdeBaca. She is survived by her two sons Rick CdeBaca and partner Vanessa Griego and Ron CdeBaca and spouse Anna CdeBaca. Grandchildren, Michael Paul CdeBaca, Matt and Jenn CdeBaca, Anelia CdeBaca, Jessica CdeBaca, Jennifer and Andrew Montoya, and Veronica Cdebaca and Ian Touchton. Sisters, Juanie Cooley, Alicia McAninch, Gloria Wood and Rosalina Grace. Frances is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A special thank you to Professional Home Health Care, Ambercare, Montecito, and Yebeth Santibanez for the excellent care they provided to Frances.

Pall bearers will be Michael Paul CdeBaca, Matthew CdeBaca, Andrew Montoya, Ian Touchton, Nick Wood and Ryan Wood,

A rosary will be recited on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at Santa Maria de la Paz at 10:00 with a Catholic funeral mass to follow at 10:30am.  Interment will be at 1:00pm at Rosario Cemetery.

In our mothers honor, Big Jo True Value Hardware will be closed on Tuesday May 17, 2022.
