Farrell Dee Hamill

Farrell was born in Big Spring, Texas on August 3, 1949. In his early teens he moved to Salinas, California and on to the Napa Valley. After 2 decades as a psychiatric nurse for the State of California in the State Hospital System, he retired in 2003. In 2006 the beauty of the southwest brought Farrell and his wife, Edelle to Santa Fe.

He was an avid Amateur Radio Operator, spending countless hours talking to other Hams all over the world. He also enjoyed regular breakfasts at the Red Enchilada with his fellow Santa Fe Hams. That and fishing at Nambe Lake were his two favorite pastimes.

Farrell is survived by his wife Edelle, sister Linda Brown, daughter Pam Mc Murtrie (Dave), son James Hamill (Leticia) and two grandchildren, Amanda and Caleb McMurtrie (Abby).

We are grateful for the compassionate care he received at Christus St. Vincent over the years. May he rest in peace.
