Diana Herrera

Diana Herrera was born on November 20, 1959 to Roberto and Cora Herrera in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Diana passed away at home in Santa Fe New Mexico on May 14, 2022 after suffering from several health issues.  Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Roberto and Cora Herrera; sister Roberta Ann Gonzales; brothers, Benny Herrera and Steve Herrera; sister-in-law Carolyn Herrera; nephews Jamie Gonzales and Ricky Thompson Sr.  Diana is survived by her wife of 42 years, Jane Sandoval; brothers, Arthur Herrera and George Herrera and wife Cecelia; mother-in-law, Vicky Sandoval, sister-in-law MaryAnne Sandoval, sister-in-law Carol Sandoval and husband Edward; Niece Amy Sandoval and Great Nephew Tyler Sandoval-Johnson; Aunt Mercedes Carrillo; Uncle and Aunt Ciriaco and Bernie Herrera; and Aunt Ernestine Herrera; Godparents Lori and Margarito Martinez.  Diana is also survived by her four cats who held a special place in her heart.

Diana was very much loved and appreciated by her wife Jane and by Diana’s two brothers and all her family.  Diana left this world too soon and will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and knew her.

Diana was currently employed with the State of New Mexico, General Services Department, TSD Finance as a Staff Manager.  Diana worked for the State of New Mexico for over 22 years and was looking forward to her retirement.  Diana was a very intelligent person and was respected and well-liked by her friends and colleagues.

Funeral Services are as follows:  Viewing at 6:00pm at Berardinelli Family Funeral Service followed by a Rosary at 7:00pm on Monday, May 30, 2022.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church (1120 Canyon Road) on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 10:00am.
