Charles Richard Keever 78, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2018 in Santa Fe, N.M. surrounded by his loving family.
He will forever live in the hearts of his beloved wife Gloria; his daughters Kathleen Whalen, son-in-law Mike; Suzanne Doty, son-in-law Jules; his grandchildren Meredith and Annemarie Whalen and Sevastian Valenzuela.

Richard attended Eastern New Mexico University where he earned degrees in History and Geography. After graduating, he moved to Santa Fe to begin his career as a real estate appraiser with the NM State Highway Department where he made lifelong friends and colleagues. Richard then established his own appraisal firms - first with his partner Tom Gillentine (Gillentine & Keever, Inc., 1974-1988) and then as sole owner of his company in 1988. He retired in 2011.
Richard loved photography, gardening, fishing, hunting, boating, camping and woodworking. His greatest joy was sharing these life passions with his grandchildren. He insisted they learn how to hook a live worm and build a birdhouse. He also passed his love for country music and guitar playing to his children and grandchildren.
A memorial tribute will be held at 11:00 a.m., March 24, 2018 at Berardinelli Family Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Hotel Santa Fe, 1501 Paseo de Peralta, Santa Fe.
