Carlos Enrique Fierro Morales

Carlos Enrique Fierro Morales 73, was born July 9, 1948, in Quito, Ecuador and died on October 15, 2021, in Santa Fe, NM, with his two sons Carlitos and Douglas by his side.  Carlos was a proud father, grandfather, commercial pilot, author, Shaman, successful businessman, philosopher, and adventurer.   Carlos arrived in Los Angeles, CA in 1970 and moved to Santa Fe, NM in 1971 to pursue his passion as a commercial airline pilot and flew private, commercial and cargo planes for many years in the U.S., Mexico and Ecuador.  Carlos lived in Santa Fe for 50 years, earned a degree in Business Administration from the College of Santa Fe, was a Health Planner for the State of NM, Indian Health Service and Centro Campesino de Salud, was a licensed building contractor, built several custom homes and wrote a book entitled, “Inspirations from the Heart”.  Carlos devoted much of his life to the protection of the environment, culture and traditional medicine of the Amazon and traveled the world extensively. Carlos dreamt the impossible and turned all his dreams into reality with his strong will, intelligence and perseverance.  Carlos is survived by his son Carlos William, son Douglas Martin and wife Elika, granddaughter Sofia Amada, grandsons Sevren and Sebastian, brothers Joseph (Patty), Vinicio, sister Maria de Fatima Castillo Fierro (Carlos), nephews Santiago, Joseph and Neil Fierro, Carlos and Estevan Castillo, nieces Sofia Castillo and Stefania Fierro.  He is preceded in death by his father Jose Bolivar Fierro, mother Amada Encarnacion Morales, brother Simon, niece Carolina.  Funeral services are being provided by Berardinelli Mortuary with a viewing to be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 5:30 pm and a rosary at 6:00 pm at Berardinelli McGee Life Event Centre located at 1320 Luisa St., Santa Fe, NM.  A funeral mass will be officiated on Saturday, November 6, 2021, by Carlos’ dear friend Father Frank Pretto Ferro at 10:00 a.m. at the CAPILLA DE NUESTRA SENORA DEL ROSARIO, located at 499 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM followed by a Celebration of Life (luncheon) at the Scottish Rite Temple located at 463 Paseo de Peralta, Santa Fe, NM.

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the St. Vincent Christus Hospital COVID Unit physicians and staff who cared for Carlos with such compassion, kindness, professionalism and dignity during his hospitalization.
