Beatrice “Bea” Schaefer Sullivan, age 98, died recently in Santa Fe. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was one of six children and outlived her siblings by many years. Bea started her married life in Chicago and soon after moved to New Jersey.
She lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, for more than 40 years, where she enjoyed playing golf, swimming laps and taking long walks. She moved to Santa Fe eight years ago with her husband John “Jack” Sullivan, who passed away in 2015. They were happily married for 64 years.
Bea is survived by her daughters Gail and Jean, sons-in-law Robert and Christopher, and three grandchildren, Kimberly, Kristopher and Jenna. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery in late July. The service will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the National Cemetery or The Nature Conservancy.
