Rosenda (Rose) J. Cordova
March 1, 1940 - February 22, 2017
Mom to so many of us, Rosenda (Rose) J. Cordova, age 76, from Santa Fe entered eternal life Wednesday, February 22, 2017, dauntlessly fighting the good fight to the very end. 
She was born to the late Manuel and Leonides Benavidez on March 1, 1940.  Her spirit is carried on by her husband of 61 years, Ramon R. Cordova, Sr., their 4 children and families, and an extended family of relatives and friends from all walks of life that she loved with all her heart.  Mom's favorite daughters, Mary Ann Cordova from Las Lunas; Betty Arlene Romero and spouse Rudy Romero from Espanola; Jenny Cordova-Cardenas and spouse Victor Cardenas from San Diego; and favorite son, Ramon R. Cordova, Jr. and wife Cindy Cordova from Santa Fe. Six surviving siblings, Alice and Bernie Romero, Cordelia (Eco) and Billy Roybal, Yolanda Archuleta, Beatrice Vigil, Bernice Romero, and Dan and Judy Benavidez.  8 grandchildren - Elaine, Angela, Renee, Amanda, Shawn, DeAnda, Jessica, and Marcus; 9 great grandchildren - Tre, Leonadee, Nina, Micheal, Bryan, Manuel, Isiah, Leon, and Aaliyah.
Rosenda blessed the lives of all she met and was the bravest of women, a caring, most loving wife, self-assured and confident. If someone needed help, she was the one called and the one you could depend on. She was a military spouse for 23 years and spent years traveling with Ramon all over the world.  She was our rock and haven, truly only wanted the best for her family, and will be missed beyond words.
She was an active member of Santa Maria de la Paz Church and spent her life taking care of others.
Rosary will be March 1, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Berardinelli Family Funeral Home, 1399 Luisa St., Santa Fe
Mass will be March 2, 2017 at 11 AM at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Community, 11 College Avenue, Santa Fe
Burial will be March 2, 2017 at 1:30 PM, Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe
