It is with great sadness that the family of Michael R. L. Lucero, born on August 5, 1954 in Santa Fe, NM., announces his passing on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Banner University Hospital, in Phoenix Arizona, at the age of 63 years. Michael  was preceded in death by his parents, Pantaleon Lucero, Marian Lucero, brothers, Ronnie Mark Lucero and Rudy Herrera. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife Karla of 17 years, his children, Michael Jr. (Melanie), Patricia (Kevin), Tanya, and his stepchildren, Nicholas, Brandon (Maryann), Kira, Trisha, and Erica. Michael will also be forever remembered by all of his grandchildren, great grandchild and his sisters, Virginia Lucero (Steve), Caroline Montoya (Louie), and by his brothers, Frank Lucero (Cindy), Larry Lucero (Lisa), and all his nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Michael graduated from Santa Fe High School. He also Graduated from The New Mexico Army National Guard Military Academy and went on to serve in the National Guard. Michael loved camping, fishing, and football. Michael was a kind and gentle soul. He will be greatly missed by all! Pallbearers, Danny Valdez, Jason Lucero, Antonio Lucero, Paul Narvaiz, Pat Narvaiz. Viewing will be at Berardinelli's on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will be at the Rosario at 1:00 p.m. Following Burial, Friends and Family gathering at Christian Life Church, 121 Siringo Rd from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Michael to the Berardinelli Funeral Home.
