Trinnie Maestas Hunt passed away October 10, 2017. She was born on December 28, 1921 in El Duende, New Mexico to Jose Abad and Pablita Maestas. She was one of 9 children, sharing her birthday with her twin Rosabell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 50 years Clifford, son Donald, and all her siblings Eduardo (Lola), Antonia (Faustin), Thomas, Rose (Armando), Lila (Robert), Audoro (Bertha), Abad Jr. and Lucinda; her best friends Jennie and Joe Gonzales and Sophie Barela. Trinnie was a hard and proud worker she delivered the Albuquerque Journal for 10 years, housekeeping, the Downs of Santa Fe, and the School of the Deaf. Her sopapillas and empaniditas as well as her posole were delicious. She was a devoted catholic, a lifelong parishioner of St. Francis Cathedral Basilica, a member of the Sacred Heart League, she received El Coro de la Sagrada Familia for decades and her rosary was said daily and the procession was done until she couldn’t anymore. She is survived by daughter Donna and husband Edward Chavez. Three grandchildren Maria, Eduardo, fiancée Andrea and Joseph Chavez. Her son Albert and Nancy Nuance of San Diego. Five grandchildren Annettee, Patricia, Ronald, Keith and Anthony. Donald’s children Cristi, Charles, Nancy and Jacob. 21 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. Her loving nephews and nieces. Her lifelong friend and comadera Jennie Chavez. A rosary will be recited on October 24 at Rosario Chapel at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. interment at the National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
