Edward Roy Mignardot, 85, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Uncle, died January 25, 2018.
Edward was born September 19, 1932, in Santa Fe New Mexico, the oldest of the two children of Tony and Angie Mignardot. He graduated from Santa Fe High School, and attended St. Michaels College in Santa Fe, NM. He also served in the United States Army and then continued his faithful and honorable service as an SFC in the New Mexico National Guard of the United States.
His career began working for his father at the Santa Fe Motor Corporation (SANCO) Ford Dealership. He then ventured on his own, operating a gasoline station and custom welding shop in Pojoaque, NM. He then accepted a position at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he spent the remainder of his career in technical positions, being promoted into increasingly responsible assignments until his retirement. He was well liked and respected by his professional and technical colleagues and finished his career as a “Super Tech”. Edward was a grandson of Carlo Digneo, one of the original Italian skilled masons and stone cutters brought to Santa Fe for the construction of the Basilica Cathedral of St Francis of Assisi and Edward inherited this gift of fine craftsmanship. After retirement, Edward spent his time making furniture and ornamental metal gifts for his family. He was an extremely meticulous and gifted artisan using his hands and natural talent. All his life Edward especially loved working and improving the family ranch in Northern New Mexico.

Edward is survived by Dela, his wife of 63 years, sons Tony Mignardot, Edward Mignardot Jr. (Robin), and Henry Mignardot (Elise), daughters Gina Michelle Burttram (Harmon) and Sharon Ann Hoback; grandsons Jason Gallegos, Jeremy Deaton, Wesley Burttram, Robert Burttram, Henry A.
