Missy Noonan
November 16th, 1955 ~ March 14th, 2024
Missy Noonan was born Mary Margaret Thomson in Ann Arbor, Michigan on November 16th, 1955. She graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School in 1973. Missy then attended Mercy College of Detroit where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1977. After completing her training, Missy moved out west and worked for Volunteers in Service to America in Crow Agency, Montana. Then, for many years she worked for the Indian Health Service at remote locations in the states of Arizona and New Mexico.
She loved hiking, being outdoors, singing, crocheting and making new friends. Missy met the love of her life, Mitch Noonan, while on a moonlight skiing adventure in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near the city of Santa Fe.
In 1996, after a career working in public healthcare, Missy retired from nursing and became a full time domestic diva. Missy volunteered for years with Many Mothers, supporting new families.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jack & Theresa Thomson, also her sister Ann Powers. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her husband Mitch Noonan; their children and partners Nyles Noonan (Cheryl Noonan), Nick Noonan (Robyn Noonan), Claire Noonan (James Muir), Sean Noonan (Scarlett Brugger); grandchildren Avianna and Evan Noonan, Sarah Buxton, Halle Buckingham, Tyler and Lorelai Noonan, Kate and Wyatt Muir; her siblings Tom Thomson, Steve Thomson, Mark Thomson, Mike Thomson, Dan Thomson, Barb Thomson, Joan Clancy, John Thomson; additionally their spouses, many other extended relatives, and close friends.
Missy blessed us all with her empathy and unconditional love.

There will be a memorial to celebrate Missy on April 13th, Saturday 2024 at 11am in the morning at 1804 Arroyo Chamiso the United Church of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
A light lunch and fellowship will follow the service.
